Anime retail websites get sued for selling Bootleg Anime Dvds

The North American anime distributor FUNimation Productions is suing a group of related companies in Southern California for allegedly selling counterfeit DVDs of its licensed anime on a website. FUNimation is alleging that a California resident named Hae Yong Ro and four affiliated businesses — N Trading, Inc, Discount Anime DVD, BuyDVD.com, and DOES — infringed on FUNimation and its licensers’ copyrights and trademarks by selling unauthorized copies of Fruits Basket, Dragon Ball, Dragon Ball Z, Dragonball GT, and Fullmetal Alchemist. Anyways, I found this article to be interesting because it was posted on my birthday and one of the sites was were one of my birthday presents was going to come from. With this said I had to look around and research a bit more to find legitimate anime product retails sites. LOL good thing I didn’t purchase anything from the DiscountAnimeDVD.com site like I was originally planning. I guess to say the it can be quite hard to trust some web site retail stores these days. Especially if you like collecting anime dvd and such.
